The American document regarding security guarantees for Ukraine is fully finalized, and Kiev is waiting for a time and place for it to be signed, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday, during a visit to Vilnius, reports Agerpres.
“For us, security guarantees are primarily security guarantees from the US. The document is 100% ready and we are waiting for our partners to confirm the date and place when we will sign it,” Zelensky declared during a press conference in the Lithuanian capital.
“The document will be sent for ratification to the US Congress and the Ukrainian parliament,” he said.
In turn, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda stated after the meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart on this occasion that Russia avoids commitment to a fair and lasting peace in Ukraine and that it does not accept a ceasefire in the war.
