Iran is raising its military alert level, amid growing fears of a possible American attack, after it mobilized about 1,000 drones considered “strategic”, according to the state press in Tehran.
The Tasnim agency, close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), confirmed the deployment of new military capabilities, presented as a preventive response to the escalating tensions in the Gulf and the recent movements of the American army.
The announcement comes as the US President, Donald Trump, ordered the sending of a “naval armada” to the region, a decision described by analysts as one of the most serious military escalations in recent years. The naval group is led by the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, and Trump publicly warned that a possible attack on Iran would be “much harder” than the massive air operation launched last year against the Iranian nuclear infrastructure, writes express.com.
In a message posted on his platform, Truth Social, the White House leader described the deployment of American forces as “rapid, strong, and determined”, stating that the fleet is “ready, willing, and able to fulfill its mission, with speed and violence, if necessary”. Trump reiterated the call to Tehran to return to the negotiating table, emphasizing that time is “running out” and that the only acceptable option for Washington remains an agreement that definitively excludes Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons.
