The Kremlin’s propaganda has abruptly changed its discourse and began to convince Russians that Russia no longer needs to occupy new territories in Ukraine.
A clear shift in tone in the official propaganda rhetoric is observed. The Kremlin-controlled channel, Soloviev LIVE, began to explain to the Russian public why it is not necessary to extend the occupation over other Ukrainian territories, writes Dialog.UA.
The well-known propagandist blogger Alexander Arutiunov (Razvedos) had a vehement intervention, in which he complained that many Russians are massively demanding the occupation of new territories, without taking into account the real costs.
“Our people do not understand. Everyone thinks that, theoretically, the more we “liberate” from Ukraine, the better – if you look at the map. But, in practice, if we think about how much money needs to be put in there, our money, things do not look so good anymore. Everyone wants the victory flag, but no one wants food cards, no one wants a week of work from morning till evening and camps for delays, no one wants to participate in reconstruction and so on.
No one wants this! (…) It is inconceivable. I’m not even talking about what’s left of the “liberated” Avdiivka, Pokrovsk, Bahmut… We will spend years just cleaning up the rubble from there. And people still want another 8-12 regions. Who will feed these 12 regions?”, declared the propagandist.
