The American President, Donald Trump, announced on Monday that the United States has concluded a trade agreement with India, a country he said has committed to stop importing Russian oil and to buy more oil from the USA and even from Venezuela, according to AFP and Reuters agencies, quoted by Agerpres.
The agreement provides for a reduction from 25% to 18% of the customs duties charged by the USA on imports from India, Trump wrote in a message posted on his network, Truth Social, after a phone call with the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
The latter has “agreed to stop buying Russian oil” and has committed to buy “more oil from the USA and, potentially, from Venezuela”, added the American president.
