Billions of rubles left over after the completion of the construction of the residence attributed to Vladimir Putin near Gelendjik would have been directed to foundations associated with gymnast Alina Kabaeva, claims The Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK).

According to the investigation, the works at the complex were completed in 2023. The project was carried out by the company “Investiționîe Reșenia”, controlled by people close to the president. After the final settlements, the company would have had 6.5 billion rubles left.

    Transfers to Kabaeva’s foundations

In April 2023, the company would have donated 500 million rubles to a charitable foundation associated with Alina Kabaeva, and in November it would have transferred another 2.5 billion.

According to FBK, out of these amounts approximately 263.5 million rubles were spent on supporting gymnastics, including for the “Alina” festival. Another 31 million would have been directed towards the reconstruction of a place of worship in Crimea.

The rest of the funds would have been placed in bank deposits, generating interest income of about 225 million rubles in 2024.

    Other billions for “Nebesnaia Grația”

Investigators claim that another 3.5 billion rubles would have gone to a second foundation associated with the gymnast – “Nebesnaia Grația”. Over two years, the organization would have spent nearly 500 million rubles on organizing a gymnastics tournament of the same name.

Some of the money would have been used to organize sports camps in the Valdai area, near the presidential residence. According to FBK, the event would have been designed for two children, who the investigation claims to be Putin’s and Kabaeva’s, to socialize with other children.
