US President Donald Trump has downplayed the importance of information suggesting that Russia might be providing Iran with targeting data against US forces in the Middle East, arguing that if such actions are taking place, their impact is minimal.
Trump’s statements come after an article appeared in The Washington Post, reporting a possible military cooperation between Moscow and Tehran, according to Tvr Info.
Asked about the report indicating that Russia might be providing Iran with useful information for attacks on American positions, Trump stated that there are no certainties, but suggested that the results would be limited anyway. The White House leader emphasized that recent developments show that Iran has not made significant gains, which, in his opinion, would demonstrate the inefficiency of such support.
“We don’t know, but it’s not going too well if they do. It doesn’t do much if we look at what happened with Iran in the last week,” Trump told reporters.
