A private mobile air defense group from Ukraine has achieved its first concrete results in combat, managing to shoot down a Shahed attack drone and a Zala reconnaissance drone over the city of Kharkov, announced the Minister of Defense, Mihailo Fedorov, on his official Telegram channel.
The published images show the operation of the Sky Sentinel turret, which detected and destroyed targets using artificial intelligence, without direct human operator intervention.
According to the Ukrainian official, the private group was tested in the Kharkov region and has already been integrated into the command system of the Ukrainian Air Forces, being used for the protection of critical infrastructure, writes focus.

In parallel, another 13 private groups are at various stages of preparation and are set to be activated in the upcoming period. Their purpose is to reduce the burden on the front-line units and create an easily scalable air defense structure.
Minister Fedorov emphasized that opening the air defense market to private companies allows the development of their own systems and the protection of infrastructure in coordination with the armed forces, integrating these groups into the general architecture of air defense.
