The center-right Tisza party has increased its lead over the governing Fidesz party, led by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, ahead of the parliamentary elections on April 12, according to two new polls, even though a large portion of voters are still undecided.

Tisza, led by former government official Peter Magyar, has the support of 56% of voters who have already made a decision, up 3% from the beginning of March. Meanwhile, Fidesz has the support of 37% of these voters, down 2% from three weeks ago, according to a survey conducted by the Research Center 21. 26% of respondents said they do not know who they will vote for.

A survey conducted by the Research Center 21 on a sample of 1,500 respondents between March 23 and 28 showed that Tisza is ahead of Fidesz by 19 percentage points, a larger difference than the 14 percentage point difference in the previous survey. According to the Research Center 21 survey, Tisza has a general support of 40% among all voters, compared to 28% for Fidesz.

Another poll, conducted by Zavecz Research between March 24th and 28th on a sample of 1,000 respondents, showed that Tisza has increased his lead among undecided voters to 13%, up from 12% in the February poll. According to the survey, 51% of these voters support Tisza, up 1% from February, while 38% support Fidesz, unchanged from February.
