Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, saw satanism at Eurovision. According to him, Russia currently cannot meet the criteria applied to participants.
“We will not be able to meet the criteria that currently determine the participants in Eurovision, which are criteria of Satanism. We will not be able to cope. Honestly. We feel good in the structures we are part of”, Lavrov told the press.
After being unable to participate in Eurovision, Russia has relaunched the Intervision contest. Although the security situation in the Middle East is uncertain, the contest could take place in one of the countries in the region.
It is currently known that Russia, Belarus, Brazil, and Saudi Arabia could participate in the Russian equivalent of Eurovision in 2026.
