Russia used a hypersonic missile with nuclear capability, Oreşnik, with a medium range of action against Ukraine during massive nighttime bombings, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski declared on Sunday.
The Russians launched an Oreshnik missile over Ukraine at night, stated Iuri Ignat, the head of the communications department of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, for RBC-Ukraine.
The launch of the rocket, as noted by a representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was carried out by the Russians from the Kapustin Yar test range in the Astrakhan region.
In its official report, the Air Forces reported that during the Russian attack on Ukrainian cities, 90 missiles and 600 drones of various types were recorded. One of these was a medium-range ballistic missile, Oreshnik.
In addition, the Russians have launched 2 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, 3 3M22 Zircon anti-ship missiles, 30 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, and 54 Kh-101/Iskander-K/Caliber cruise missiles.
