The Russian oil network Tatneft has imposed limits on the purchases of gasoline and diesel at all its stations in Russia. The decision was announced in the wake of Ukrainian air attacks on warehouses and refineries in Russia.

Tatneft’s customer assistance phone line confirmed on Tuesday to AFP that the company is now imposing a limit of 30 liters of gasoline and 60 liters of diesel per person at all its stations, reports Agerpres. How long the limitations will last is unknown.

Previously, the Russian news agency Interfax reported that Tatneft had imposed temporary limits on fuel purchases and was only accepting cash payments.

Tatneft is the fifth largest oil company in Russia and has a network of hundreds of gas stations throughout the country.

Previously, similar measures were imposed in Crimea, annexed by the Russian Federation. There, fuel was sold with coupons, in limited quantities.

At the beginning of this month, the Russian Ministry of Energy acknowledged in a press release that there are temporary difficulties in fuel supply in a number of regions in the south of the country, following the intensification of aerial attacks.

On Tuesday morning, a refinery in Moscow was hit by drones.
