President Donald Trump had a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelenski after the conclusion of the NATO summit. The American leader told the press, in a joint press conference, that the official from Kiev “has done an extraordinary job” and that he is “very efficient”.
According to Trump, the deep Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory represent an escalation that could contribute to the end of the war, writes news.ro.
“I thought this would be an appropriate time for President Zelenski and I to meet and we’ll see what we can do. But, in fact, we’ve developed a good relationship,” said Donald Trump.
In turn, Vladimir Zelenski told the US president that he wants to discuss with him some “very important details” and expressed confidence that Donald Trump can stop the war in Ukraine.
