The Kremlin-controlled press has published a so-called “Index of Unfriendly Countries”, in which it classifies Western countries based on their alleged level of “hostility” towards Moscow. In the June edition, Germany, Latvia, the United Kingdom, France, and Estonia occupy the top spots, according to the pro-Kremlin publication Vzglyad, which cites NATO exercises and military support provided to Ukraine as the main arguments.

Canada, the Netherlands, and Romania share the 8th place in this ranking, with 60 points. Canada has dropped one place, while the Netherlands has lost five positions, and Romania maintains its position.

Germany occupies the first position in the ranking

Germany was ranked 1st (90 points), climbing one position compared to the previous ranking. Latvia records the highest rise in the ranking, climbing three positions, to the 2nd place, tied with Germany (90 points).

The United Kingdom and Estonia share the 3rd place (85 points). Estonia climbs three positions, while the United Kingdom maintains its presence at the top of the ranking. France drops one place and reaches the 4th place, with 80 points.

Poland, Finland, the Czech Republic, and Sweden jointly occupy the 5th place (75 points). Poland and Finland each drop one position, the Czech Republic loses three places, while Sweden climbs one position.

Lithuania records the largest drop in the ranking, falling five positions, down to 6th place.

Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Italy, and the United States are ranked 7th (65 points). Belgium drops two positions, Denmark and Spain each climb one, while Italy and the USA maintain their position.

Greece remains in 9th place, with no change. Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Slovenia, and Croatia round out the ranking in 10th place (45 points). Bulgaria and Slovenia each drop one place, while Croatia loses two positions.

Russian propaganda asserts that the month of June confirmed that Europe is transitioning from creating conditions for a long-term confrontation with Russia to the practical preparation of its armed forces.

“If in the spring the emphasis was placed on the development of military-industrial cooperation and military logistics, the focus has now shifted directly to the rehearsal of possible conflict scenarios“, the cited source specifies.
