Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated on Wednesday that he is the only participant at the Ukraine – Southeast Europe summit who did not sign the declaration adopted earlier in the day at this summit held in Kiev, reports the Tanjug agency.
“I am the only one who did not sign that declaration. Look at the text of that declaration” and “it will be clearer to you, I do not need to give additional explanations”, Vucic responded in front of the press, after being asked if he signed the document.
When asked about Serbia’s stance on European sanctions against Russia, President Vucic said that everyone knows Serbia’s position. “Everyone knows our position and I know all of their positions,” he indicated.
President Aleksandar Vucic also mentioned that the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski were correct and they know what Serbia’s policy is, but he noted that there were also participants who, alluding to Serbia, began their speeches by stating that, “unlike others”, they are 100% aligned with EU policy.
“And they repeat this about ten times, but we are already accustomed to this, it’s nothing new,” added the President of Serbia.
