The war of Russia against Ukraine has turned into a real “massacre”, which could last 100 years, declared the leader of the French far-right party “National Union” and candidate for the presidency of France, Marine Le Pen.
“Either NATO will enter this war, and then it will be the Third World War, or we will witness a 100-year War,” said Le Pen during a broadcast on the LCI television channel.
She reminded that the military conflict between Moscow and Kiev has already lasted longer than the First World War, and the number of victims has reached 2 million people.
“No one is talking about this. It’s terrifying,” emphasized the leader of the French far-right.
Le Pen has called for the organization of a high-level conference, with the participation of various countries, to find solutions to resolve the conflict and end the war. The politician stated that she would like to personally discuss with the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.
Also, according to this, Germany, Poland, and Turkey must be involved in the negotiation process.
“I believe that the historical role of France lies precisely in creating the necessary conditions for the negotiations that precede the conclusion of peace,” emphasized the far-right leader.
Furthermore, Le Pen added that, under the current circumstances, France can no longer provide financial aid to Ukraine at the same level as before. At the same time, she clarified that Paris is willing to train Ukrainian soldiers and supply arms to Kiev.
Marine Le Pen has run for the presidency of France several times. In 2017 and 2022, she made it to the second round, but lost twice to Emmanuel Macron. Next year, the politician intends to run for the fourth time. It is anticipated that the presidential elections in France will take place on April 18, 2027, and if a second round is necessary, on May 2.
