The leadership of the Federal Security Service of Russia wants more comfortable conditions for long-distance travel. According to a draft order of the FSB, the director of the institution, his deputies, and other members of the leadership will be able to travel first class not only on official business, but also when going on vacation or for treatment.
If there will be no seats available in first class, they will be provided with business class. At the same time, high-ranking officers, who until now were entitled to economy tickets, will be able to travel in business, and certain categories of leaders with the rank of colonel or equivalent will benefit from the “comfort” class.
The facilities will also extend to the relatives of FSB employees who are entitled to free transportation. The families of deceased military personnel will retain the travel category that the military personnel benefited from at the time of death.
The project also stipulates that employees who are entitled to economy class will be able to purchase “comfort” tickets if there are no more seats available in their designated category, with the approval of management and presentation of a confirmation from the carrier.
