More than 400 flights have been delayed or cancelled in Moscow, St Petersburg and Ufa since the start of Thursday amid Ukrainian drone attacks.

At Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport, 149 flights were rescheduled and five were canceled. At Vnukovo, 137 flights were delayed, while at Domodedovo, 42 were delayed and one was canceled, The Moscow Times reports.

According to Fontanka, Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg received 16 diverted aircraft due to airspace restrictions over Moscow. Six flights were canceled at the airport, and 57 were delayed.

According to a report from Russia’s Ministry of Defence, 1,214 drones were shot down last night and this morning across 18 Russian regions, as well as in Moscow, where President Vladimir Putin is hosting African leaders.

As Bloomberg notes, this is the largest number of drones to have attacked Russia simultaneously to date. The previous record was set on September 20, when the Defense Ministry reported intercepting 1,110 drones overnight.
