“The Kremlin spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, suggested that Russia will not agree to a 30-day ceasefire, as proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, as reported by Ukrainska Pravda. He maintained that Moscow is still waiting for a response from Kiev regarding Putin’s “goodwill gesture.”

When asked by the Russian news agency TASS if the Kremlin was aware of Ukraine’s request for an immediate 30-day ceasefire, Peskov replied:

“Yes, we have seen it, we have seen it. But if we are talking about a ceasefire of such length, then those nuances that Putin spoke about at the Kremlin are certainly relevant. These are important aspects, and without answers to these questions, it is difficult to accept a ceasefire of such duration.”

Peskov did not elaborate on what these “nuances” were.

He also reminded that previously, Putin had announced a temporary ceasefire for a period of three days, from May 8 to May 11, on the occasion of Victory Day.

“Putin made a goodwill gesture… by announcing a temporary ceasefire for the days dedicated to victory. We have not yet received any reaction from the Kiev regime [as the Russian propaganda refers to the Ukrainian government – ed.]. It is still difficult to understand whether the Kiev regime will accept this proposal or not,” Peskov concluded.

    Details, HERE.”
