The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, who has not attended any public event since October 28, met on Monday in Moscow with his Indian counterpart, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. Images of the meeting were published by the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on social network X, following several weeks of speculation about a supposed fall from grace of the head of Russian diplomacy in the face of leader Vladimir Putin, reports Agerpres.
Lavrov, who has not attended any public event since his visit to Minsk on October 28, welcomed the Indian minister at the reception house of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The head of Russian diplomacy mentioned that this is the sixth meeting between the two this year.
In the images posted by the Russian MAE on social network X, Sergey Lavrov greets his counterpart from India, the two shake hands, take a picture together, and then the Russian minister welcomes the rest of the Indian delegation.
