Next week, Ukraine will receive several Skyranger 35 anti-drone systems from Germany. These weapons will be mounted on Leopard 1 tanks. The delivery is part of a “three million dollar contract, which is paid by an unnamed EU country, through unexpected profits from frozen Russian assets,” according to the support group “German Aid to Ukraine”, as reported by Kyiv Post.

The CEO of the German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall, Armin Papperger, announced the news at the Rheinmetall presentation at CMD 2025, according to the “German Aid to Ukraine” support group on X.

“As part of the Rheinmetall presentation at CMD 2025, Rheinmetall’s CEO, Armin Papperger, just announced that the first Skyranger 35, a self-propelled anti-aircraft weapon, will be mounted on the Leopard 1 chassis and will be delivered to Ukraine as early as next week,” according to a post on X.

The group added that the delivery is part of a “three million dollar contract, which is paid by an unnamed EU country through unexpected profits from frozen Russian assets.”
