Suspected drones were observed over a French military base specializing in intelligence, on three different nights last month, announced the French Air and Space Forces, reports Agerpres.
The announcement comes shortly after French prosecutors opened an investigation into possible drones detected over a nuclear submarine base on the Atlantic coast.
In recent months, such unidentified flights have disrupted European airspace, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, described them as a “hybrid war”. Russia has repeatedly denied any involvement.
The first incident in the series reported last month took place on November 26, over the Creil military base, in northern France.
The base hosts an intelligence training center, said Colonel Thomas Bardin, the unit commander, for Le Parisien.
