The US decision to lift restrictions on diesel from Russia has been criticized in almost the entire European Union. From Sofia, things look different.
Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Rumen Radev has hinted that he supports the agreement between the USA and Russia for the import of diesel from Russia.
“Do you know what our problem is at this moment in Europe? High fuel prices“, Radev declared upon his arrival at a two-day EU leaders’ summit, according to Euronews.
“We appreciate any measure meant to reduce fuel prices and ensure our competitiveness,” he said.
Radev’s statements, seen as a politician with pro-Russian stances, put him in contradiction with the other EU leaders, who have firmly condemned the agreement, deeming it risky, dangerous and wrong.
