A second superyacht, used by President Vladimir Putin and his mistress Alina Kabaeva, has left Russia, reports The Moscow Times. The yacht is named “Victoria”, it is 71 meters long and, according to MarineTraffic data, on June 26, the yacht left the Krasnodar region and headed towards Turkey through the Bosporus. Between June 28-29, the ship was anchored in Istanbul, then it headed towards the tourist resort of Bodrum, where it is expected to arrive Tuesday evening.
Just a day ago, another super-yacht, Graceful, which Forbes indicates may also belong to Vladimir Putin, traversed the Danish territorial waters, escorted by two Russian military vessels. According to the Danish publication DR, the yacht “Graceful” passed through the Great Belt strait on the night of June 29, and in the morning it sailed past the island of Anholt, heading for Turkey, where it is expected to arrive on July 12.
Both yachts were built at the Sevmash shipyard. Formally, “Victoria”, whose value in 2023 was estimated at 50 million dollars, belongs to Putin’s friend, billionaire Ghenadi Timchenko. The yacht is based in Sochi and regularly cruises to Cape Idokopas, where the so-called “Putin’s palace” is located. An acquaintance of Alina Kabaeva said that she and her friends often use this vessel.
The cost of the yacht “Graceful” is estimated at 100 million dollars. The ship was placed on the US sanctions list, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which is why it subsequently changed its name to “Orca”. Even before the war began, the yacht was under repair at the shipyard in Hamburg.
