Officials from the government’s financial bloc have warned Vladimir Putin that, in the coming months, the country could face an economic crisis. The information is reported by The Washington Post, which cites a source in direct contact with these officials.
According to the publication’s interlocutor, the warnings addressed to Putin are becoming increasingly insistent, and the crisis could break out even this summer. The officials would have informed him that, without additional tax increases, the budget deficit will continue to grow due to falling oil and gas revenues.
