An unidentified drone has crashed near an air military base in Germany. Authorities have cordoned off the area and are searching for the debris. In addition, investigators are trying to find out who launched the drone.
A drone crashed in an uninhabited area, near the Steinhuder Meer lake in Germany. According to BILD, the impact site is about one kilometer away from the Bundeswehr air base in Wunstorf.
The police have launched a wide-scale search operation to find other remains. Authorities say there is no known danger to the public. The origin and owner of the drone remain unknown.
The Regional Office for Criminal Investigations (LKA) has confirmed that the drone crashed in an uninhabited area. Due to the extensive surface area where fragments could be scattered, numerous intervention forces have been mobilized at the scene.
