The NORSI refinery, one of the top five largest in Russia, has halved its production capacity following a drone attack that occurred on Wednesday, reports Reuters, citing industry sources.
According to the agency, as a result of the attack, the primary processing installation AVT-6 was halted, which accounts for 53% of the total refinery capacity – approximately 25,700 tons per day.
The other technological installations of NORSI, the largest refinery of the Lukoil group, were not affected and continue to operate, Reuters sources stated.
According to them, starting from Wednesday, the plant has suspended the delivery of fuel in small batches and temporarily halted the sale of gasoline on the stock exchange.
On Thursday, the fuel produced by the refinery reappeared on the stock market, however, the volumes offered were approximately 40% lower than usual levels.
