The “Volgogradneftepererabotka” refinery, owned by Lukoil, has completely halted oil processing due to damages caused by a drone attack. The facilities have been shut down since October 2nd, two industry sources told Reuters.

On the same day, authorities in the Volgograd region announced a massive drone attack on industrial infrastructure, without specifying which companies were affected.

The refinery in Volgograd was again the target of significant drone attacks on May 29 and July 31, both causing substantial damage.

The unit can process approximately 14 million tons of oil per year, equivalent to about 5% of Russia’s total refining capacity.
