Aliona Solomonova, the daughter of the head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff (GRU), Igor Kostiukov, rakes in millions of dollars from government contracts with firms and companies within the military-industrial complex, writes the publication “Metla”, as picked up by The Moscow Times.
Solomonova controls the company Electroshield-ETS, which supplies electrical equipment for the Ministry of Defense and military enterprises.
Among the regular clients of the company are the Regional Center JSC Nord-Vest of the Air and Space Defense Concern Almaz-Antey – Obukhov Plant, a company under the economic sanctions imposed by the West.
Another important client is the Strategic Control Points Corporation, which is part of the Roscosmos group, but at the same time carries out projects for the Ministry of Defense. In the last 12 months, Solomonova’s company received about 1.8 billion rubles from the Strategic Control Points Corporation.
