Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the city of Nizhny Novgorod on August 28. On the day of the trip, there were several restrictions throughout the city.
The local press noted that, although there were shortages until now, gasoline has suddenly reappeared at most gas stations, reports Meduza. At some refueling stations, queues began to form, while at others, however, the availability of fuel was limited.
A week prior, several gas stations in Nizhny Novgorod were out of gasoline. Where fuel was still being sold, the lines were hellish.
A similar situation previously occurred in Krasnoiarsk, during Putin’s visit. There, besides the fact that gasoline had reappeared, its price also suddenly dropped. However, the rate was increased again after Putin’s departure.
