The President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, has revoked the citizenship of five officers from the so-called Ministry of Security in the Transnistrian region. The decree was published on the presidential administration’s page in Chisinau.
This is about Alexandr Bulgaz, Denis Caramanuța, Nicolai Covaliov, Denis Marusic, and Evghenii Romaniuc. All those mentioned were born in the Republic of Moldova.
The decree was signed on May 25 and comes into effect on the day of signing.
Previously, the head of state had deprived other separatist officials of citizenship, including individuals who had ties with the power structures in the self-proclaimed region.
