The Foreign Minister of Poland stated on Wednesday, in Brussels, after the NATO meeting, that Europe and the Alliance are building their security “against Russia”, not together with Russia. The NATO-Russia Council “no longer exists,” says Radosław Sikorski, emphasizing that the focus is on ensuring Europe’s security against Russia, not together with it.
The Polish Foreign Minister, Radosław Sikorski, told reporters that the NATO-Russia Council, a consultative forum established in 2002, “no longer exists,” according to The Guardian.
He said that the body was “created at a time when it seemed that European security could be built together with Russia, but those times have passed due to Russia’s decision to invade”.
“Today, we are creating European security against Russia, and this has finally found its institutional expression,” he said.
