Margarita Simonian, chief editor of the state television Russia Today, confessed that she was unpleasantly surprised by the conditions in Russian hospitals. The Russian propagandist, who is undergoing cancer treatment, recounts how, during a visit to one of the hospitals with her 12-year-old daughter, the medical staff yelled at them right at the reception, writes Dialog.ua.

Simonian recounted that the hospital employees spoke in a loud tone and continued to be rude even after they recognized her.

One of the employees allegedly told her directly: “Tell the minister that we are not paid to speak nicely.”

She added that she initially got angry because of the behavior, but then felt ashamed, acknowledging that the state has not provided normal conditions for people for years.

According to her, her daughter was also unpleasantly surprised by the episode, initially thinking it was a joke.

After this incident, Simonian began to talk about the harsh working conditions of Russian doctors and their low salaries.

However, she continued to underline the difference between her situation and that of ordinary people, stating that she lives without deprivation, while the woman at the reception has to work for “about 18 thousand rubles” (200 euros) and live in poverty all her life.
