Vladimir Putin stated on Wednesday that Ukraine’s European allies, whom he called “European piglets,” have a vengeful mindset and they “want the collapse of Russia” in order to “plunder its resources,” reports the EFE agency, quoted by Agerpres.
“They believed they would destroy and dismantle Russia in a short time. And the European piglets immediately joined the action of the previous American administration (of President Joe Biden – ed.), hoping to profit from the collapse of our country, to recover what they lost in previous historical periods and to take their revenge,” said the Kremlin leader during a meeting of the Russian army command.
In his opinion, despite the current poor relations between Russia and Europe, dialogue will eventually be restored. However, Putin expressed skepticism that this could happen without a “change” in the current European political elites in power.
“The American administration (of Donald Trump – ed.) shows this readiness. We are discussing with them. I hope the same will happen in Europe (…) In any case, it will be inevitable as we become stronger. If not with the current politicians, then it will be after a change in the European political elites,” Putin maintains.
