The Romanian technology company Oves Enterprise and Edrone, one of the largest manufacturers of military drones in Ukraine, have signed a strategic partnership to launch joint production of military drones in Romania, according to Agerpres.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday by Oves Enterprise, the partnership combines the expertise of the two companies in drone development and marks a new stage of cooperation that includes the production of autonomous defense systems in Romania. The project envisages the opening of a production unit in Cluj-Napoca, the integration of Nemesis AI technology, and the transfer of the processes and know-how necessary for scaling production.

“Europe needs its own production capacities, and Romania must build a real industrial role in this ecosystem, not just remain a market for finished products”, stated Mihai Filip, CEO of Oves Enterprise. “The partnership with Edrone brings frontline experience to Romania, validated production processes, and the ability to quickly scale systems already tested in real conditions. We contribute with Oves technologies – from autonomous systems and artificial intelligence to the integration of the Nemesis AI platform – so that drones can meet current operational requirements and support the security of Romania and Europe.”

In the initial phase, three types of military drones will be produced in Cluj-Napoca: FPV drones, interceptor drones, and reconnaissance drones.
