The Kremlin stated on Wednesday that it will “continue” its offensive in Ukraine until Kiev accepts its conditions, this ultimatum-like statement coming at a time when Russian, Ukrainian, and American delegations have gathered in Abu Dhabi (in the United Arab Emirates) for a new round of discussions to end the war initiated by Russia.

“As long as the regime in Kiev has not made the appropriate decision, the special military operation will continue,” the Kremlin’s spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, told the press.

Recently, the Kremlin stated that one of the “very important” conditions is for Ukrainian forces to withdraw from the areas they still control in Donbas, in eastern Ukraine, according to AFP, quoted by Agerpres.

Russian troops will continue to fight in Ukraine until Kiev makes “decisions” that could end the war, Peskov insisted, quoted by Reuters, actually suggesting a surrender of Ukraine. Russia’s position remains unchanged, a fact known to both Ukrainian and American negotiators, Peskov said.
