President Putin’s advisor on maritime issues, Nikolai Patrushev, head of the Russian Naval Board, stated Tuesday, in an interview for state news agency TASS, that Russia has not yet reached the end of the war in Ukraine, and the future of the port-city of Odessa “is not connected to the regime in Kiev”. These comments come after the White House and American President Donald Trump’s statements about the need to freeze the war in Ukraine in the coming days, according to the Russian independent media platform Aghentsvo, as reported by Agerpres.

“The contours of our victory (in the war with Ukraine) are already clearly visible,” Patrushev claims, adding that until the conclusion of the “special military operation,” as the Kremlin calls its invasion of Ukraine, there are still battles to be fought.

At the same time, Putin’s advisor states that an even bloodier conflict may ensue.

“Humanity is facing a choice: a new bloody massacre or a just world order,” the source notes.

Patrushev sees UN reform as a “logical consequence of the new world order.”

“The Security Council of the organization can be changed taking into account the interests of the entire global community,” he asserts.

Among the questions asked by TASS to Patrushev about current discussions with the US, the journalists at Aghentstvo remark one concerning “Ukrainian ports.” According to a version circulating in the public space, the ports of Ukraine are being discussed between Moscow and Washington, says the TASS journalist, asking Patrushev if Russia has any claims regarding “Ukrainian ports.”
