The Republic of Moldova is ready for the opening of the remaining four negotiation chapters for EU accession. The message was conveyed by President Maia Sandu, in a discussion with the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa.
The two officials spoke about pre-accession policies and the European Union’s preparation for the enlargement process. These were presented by the European Commission on October 6.
At the same time, officials discussed the roadmap for accession that the Commission is preparing for the most advanced candidate countries, including the Republic of Moldova, according to jurnal.md.
The discussion took place a week before the European Council meeting on October 15 and 16. EU leaders are set to discuss the expansion and reforms of the European Union.
