Iran takes advantage of the armistice with the USA and Israel to unlock underground missile bases, satellite images show. Although Washington claims that the ballistic program is “almost destroyed”, officials fear a rapid rebuilding of the arsenal.

Heavy machinery was observed clearing debris from blocked tunnels, gathering rubble and loading it into nearby trucks.

The aforementioned tunnels were deliberately targeted in previous attacks by the USA and Israel, as part of a strategy designed to block underground missile launchers, writes The Telegraph.

A satellite image taken on April 10 shows a front loader on a pile of debris sealing the entrance of a tunnel, while several heavy-duty trucks were waiting nearby, at a missile base near Khomeyn, Iran.

A second image, taken on the same day, also captures construction equipment in operation at a site in Tabriz.
