On the Russian classifieds site Avito, advertisements have appeared referring to contracts for service “behind the front lines”, in Belarus and China.

The announcements are almost identical. Individuals of any nationality, age, and health status are sought. Even retirees, those unfit or without military experience are accepted.

During recruitment, a “starting bonus” of 10 million rubles is promised, along with debt cancellation, family benefits, coverage of travel costs to the workplace, accommodation in dormitories or barracks, food, equipment, and security.

Such conditions are, for example, included in an announcement for security agents at warehouses in Belarus. Recruitment agencies promise a “quiet and safe area, with all the guarantees and benefits of the Russian Ministry of Defense”. The same conditions are promised to “workers in the ammunition production” from China.

In addition, recruiters are seeking security agents for drone factories, electronic warfare installations, and testing ranges, drivers, drone factory operators and assemblers, drone technicians and testers. All jobs, the ads claim, are located in Belarus and China.
