Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev is meeting on Tuesday in Moscow with the special representative of the USA, Steve Witkoff, reports Reuters. The two have met several times in Russia and the United States to discuss peace proposals regarding Ukraine and future investment opportunities involving the USA and Russia.

Ukrainian forces “continue their defensive operations in the difficult sectors of the front, especially in Pokrovsk, Vovtciansk and Kupiansk”, assures their general staff, once again denying Moscow’s announcements. “The boastful statements of the leaders of the aggressor state about the “capture” of these points by the Russian army do not correspond to reality. It is simply a new attempt by the Kremlin to use a video recording of “flag planting”, filmed for propaganda reasons, to influence the participants in international negotiations”, it writes on Telegram. In Pokrovsk, half of the city located north of the railway is still in the hands of the Ukrainian army, which is inflicting heavy losses on Russian forces, it continues.

“Thus, our units have already eliminated a group that had hoisted the Russian tricolor flag in one of the city’s neighborhoods, taking advantage of the fog”, adds the general staff.

The special envoy of the US president Steve Witkoff, the son-in-law of the American president Jared Kushner, and the Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev strolled through Moscow before the meeting that is about to begin. Russian propagandists claim that the Americans, accompanied by Dmitriev, were seen at one of the restaurants in Moscow, reports Nexta.
