Luca Niculescu is Nicușor Dan’s surprise proposal for the position of technocrat prime minister. The candidacy would have been presented to the parties in unofficial telephone discussions, of “probing”.
The leader from Cotroceni was asked on Monday morning whether he will propose Luca Niculescu, reports Antena3. However, the Romanian president did not provide an answer.
Luca Niculescu has experience in diplomacy and was the ambassador of Romania to France. By profession, the potential candidate is a journalist.
Niculescu was the editor-in-chief of Free Europe Romania, a program producer at Money Channel, TVR 1, Digi24. He wrote for the magazine Old Dilemma and was a permanent correspondent in Romania for French media – France Info, France Culture, France Inter, TV5 and the daily newspaper Libération.
