The series of suspicious deaths among the Russian elite continues. This time, it’s about Aleksei Skliar, former deputy of the Minister of Labor from the Russian Federation, found lifeless at the entrance of his own residence in Moscow. According to the first information appeared in the Russian press, it would be a suicide.

The lifeless body of the former official was discovered by the intervention teams on the threshold of a private house in the Filimonovski locality. The door was open, and the circumstances of the death are, at this moment, being investigated by the investigators.

Before his death, Aleksei Skliar, aged 50, would have sent unexpected messages to his friends, announcing that he intends to end his life. The Russian Telegram channel Baza claims to have obtained a supposed farewell note.

“Read this letter when I am no longer. My wife is to blame for everything”, Skliar would have written, according to the cited source.

The investigation is ongoing, and the authorities have not yet provided additional official details.

Silence in the family and old conflicts

The wife of the former dignitary refused to comment on his death. The couple had two sons, and one of them told journalists that he had not kept in touch with his father for a long time and that he found out about the death from the press.

Sources close to the family claim that the relationship between Aleksei Skliar and his wife had been tense for years, due to repeated conflicts generated by jealousy.
