The rocket-drone that crashed in Ștefan-Vodă caused damage to several households in the village of Crocmaz. The explosion occurred at an altitude of about 2.5 meters, after the flying device hit a tree in a forest strip.
The fragments of the device were projected over a wide area, according to the National Police. As a result, buildings from several households were damaged.
“According to preliminary findings, the detected fragments have characteristics similar to components of a guided missile, indicating that the device could be a ‘missile-drone’. We mention that, so far, no cases of identifying such a type of flying device have been recorded on the territory of the Republic of Moldova”, the law enforcement informs.
The investigation is set to determine the exact type of the flying device and its origin.
The journalists of Studio-L television from Căușeni published the testimonies of some farmers in the region, who shared images of specialists collecting drone pieces from the field and the situation on the spot.
