A civil war could break out in Russia due to accumulated social, economic, and political conflicts, warned Alexander Kharichev, the head of the Presidential Executive Office for Monitoring and Analysis of Social Processes, according to The Moscow Times.
According to Kharichev, the civil war is one of the five challenges that Russia is facing. In addition, the country is dealing with the loss of political, territorial, and cultural sovereignty, depopulation, loss of public trust in the government, and the collapse of the political system, as well as the “dehumanization” and transformation of Russians into “consumer subjects”.
The Kremlin’s chief sociologist noted that the response to the threat of civil war should be the formation of a “united and cohesive” society. Kharichev proposed the creation of such a society through the ideology of “We do not abandon our own”, which would be based on “our own civilizational code”. The same ideology should protect against the “loss of sovereignty”. Kharichev announced the imminent adoption of a law on “patriotic” education, which would oblige all government agencies, educational institutions, and other public and state structures to instill appropriate attitudes in citizens.
At the same time, Kharichev emphasized that the war against Ukraine contributed to preventing a “loss of sovereignty”. “Russia’s elite focused exclusively on sending their children to study abroad and building fortunes abroad. The richest – somewhere on the Côte d’Azur, the poorest – in Montenegro. In other words, we were simply losing the elite… After a while, we would have completely lost our potential – economic, technological, and political. For Russia, SVO (ed. note: the name used by Russians for the invasion of Ukraine) proved to be a purification”, the official noted.
Kharichev called the depopulation threatening Russia “a global problem resulting from the impact of the globalist experiment” and “a virus that infects thinking with an inadequate and poorly conceived construction”. He argued that promoting childless children’s rights and LGBT rights “leads to a demographic collapse” and to “the destruction of our people”. To address this challenge, Kharichev proposed promoting family values and cultivating a fashion for large families. More specifically, the official believes it is necessary to make films with families with just three children.
