The queue of approximately one kilometer at a gas station in the Zabaikalie region of Russia was photographed from a satellite. The image was captured on the morning of July 3rd.
The image shows the line of cars at a Rosneft gas station in the village of Atamanovka, near the city of Cita. A day earlier, a video sequence filmed on July 2nd had gone viral on the internet, showing a line of about 4.5 kilometers. Meduza estimated that approximately 800 cars were waiting to enter the refueling station.
The image shows a Rosneft gas station, which receives fuel from the Habarovsk refinery. This target was not affected by the Ukrainian attacks, reports The Moscow Times.
The Russian opposition press writes that, due to the shortage of fuels and queues at gas stations, in some regions, the police, Cossacks, and veterans of the war in Ukraine are mobilized to maintain public order at fuel stations. Priority to procure gasoline and diesel is given to government officials and special services.
