A court in Finland has officially confirmed for the first time that the luxury yacht Divina Barbara, 35 meters long and with an estimated value of 12 million euros, belongs to the Russian oligarch Eduard Hudainatov, former head of the “Rosneft” company and close to Igor Sechin. The decision comes after a Swiss-Belgian businessman unsuccessfully tried to lift the seizure imposed on the vessel, claiming that he is the real owner, through a complex chain of offshore companies.
The Pirkanmaa district court dismissed the challenge, considering that the ownership scheme presented is “excessively complicated” and intentionally built to hide the real identity of the owner. According to prosecutors, there is sufficient evidence that the yacht was used by Hudainatov. Thus, the man who filed the complaint was considered a “nominal figure”.
Hudainatov, a loyal client of water luxury
Divina Barbara is already the fifth luxury vessel associated with Hudainatov’s name. In September 2025, the yacht Amadea, valued at 300 million dollars, was auctioned off after being seized by American authorities as an asset of oligarch Suleiman Kerimov. Hudainatov tried to block the sale claiming that he is the real owner, but the judges dismissed his arguments, stating that he is just a front owner.
Previously, Hudainatov had also claimed ownership of the yacht Crescent, 135 meters long, arrested in Spain in 2022. The investigation of the Spanish authorities concluded that the vessel actually belongs to Igor Sechin. The monthly operating costs of the Crescent reached 5 million dollars, and the estimated value was about 600 million dollars.
