An online video clip captured the moment an explosion occurred a short distance from a filming crew of the television station Russia Today, in southern Lebanon.

The incident took place during the production of a report near a militarily sensitive area. Russia Today is the main propaganda television of the Kremlin leader, Vladimir Putin.

In the images published on social networks, a journalist equipped with a bulletproof vest appears speaking in front of the camera, however, shortly after, a powerful detonation takes place nearby. At that moment, the camera is violently shaken and falls to the ground.

Fragments and sparks are visible in the frame, suggesting the impact of an explosive ammunition just a few meters from the team.

According to information released by the Russian press, journalists Steve Sweeney and Ali Reed were reportedly injured in the incident.

Sources mention that the team was near a military base and had recently crossed a road infrastructure area before the explosion occurred.
