For the first time, Russia used a jet-propelled drone equipped with a payload designed to destroy high-voltage pylons and metal bridge structures, announced on September 30th Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov, presidential advisor for defense technologies.
“Bad news. Today, the enemy used for the first time a special cutting effect charge, of cumulative type, mounted on a jet drone”, Beskrestnov wrote on Telegram.
According to him, the payload was specifically designed to destroy high-voltage pylons and steel structures of bridges. It consists of a main charge of 40 kilograms and four additional destructive modules.
“I believe that the enemy is planning to attack major high-voltage electric power transmission lines,” said the advisor.
