A Russian administration adviser has warned that Moscow could launch a nuclear strike against Germany or Great Britain within the next one to two years to “punish” Europe, as it continues to aid Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“My choice would be Great Britain<\/a> and Germany<\/i>,” said Sergey Karaganov in an interview given to American journalist Tucker Carlson, answering the question about the countries that could become the target of a nuclear attack by the Russian Federation, writes Moscow Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I pray to the Almighty that this does not happen. But Germany should be the first, because Germany is the source of the worst stories in European history.”<\/i><\/p>\n

The discussion about the possible nuclear attack came after the journalist’s question about the consequences for Europe if President Vladimir Putin were to be assassinated by Ukrainians or Europeans.<\/p>\n

“Then, of course, it would mean that we would punish, hopefully not the United States, but Europe needs to be wiped off the map. It should be erased from the geopolitical and geostrategic map, because it is an annoying nuisance,”<\/i> Karaganov declared.<\/p>\n

He specified that a nuclear attack on Europe could take place within two years if “we do not end this senseless war and instability in and around Ukraine<\/i>” and that such an attack would be preceded by conventional weapon strikes.<\/p>\n

“The use of nuclear weapons is a great sin and I do not want Russia to commit such a grave sin. But, if necessary, we must eliminate the European threat to humanity,”<\/i> Carlson’s interlocutor emphasized.<\/p>\n

In October 2024, Karaganov stated that nuclear weapons<\/a> in Russia’s hands are a “gift from the Almighty”<\/i>, which scientists have helped to obtain.<\/p>\n

“We should not anger God \u2014 we must actively use the weapons that have been given to us for self-preservation,”<\/i> he said. Previously, Karaganov also called for a nuclear strike against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Bild previously reported that this adviser to Putin and his wife own an apartment in Berlin, which he proposes to destroy.<\/p>\n

According to journalists, Karaganov earns 850 euros per month from renting the property.
