The Russian secret services have announced the arrest of two citizens of the Russian Federation, suspected of plotting the assassination attempt on GRU General Vladimir Aleksiev. The surprise came when it was revealed that one of the suspects was actually working within the FSB.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The incident took place on the morning of February 6, inside the building where Alekseev lived, right on the staircase, next to the elevator. The attacker left the scene without difficulty, while neighbors pointed out that, inexplicably, the surveillance cameras in the area had not been working for a week. Another hypothesis being circulated is that the aggressor had rented an apartment on the same floor as the general to get closer to him.<\/p>\n

Investigations published by Focus show that Vladimir Aleksiev was born in the Vinnitsa region, Ukraine. Throughout his career, he became a lieutenant general in the GRU and was involved in cyber operations, poisonings, arms smuggling, actions related to Prigojin’s group, Russia’s hybrid attacks in 2014, and missile bombings on Ukrainian civilians from 2022 to the present.<\/p>\n

We remind you that Denis “Redis” Prokopenko, the commander of the First “Azov” Corps of the National Guard, recounted how Alekseev deceived the garrison in Mariupol during the withdrawal from “Azovstal”.<\/p>\n

InformNapalm analyst points out that, unlike previous assassinations of Russian generals, Aleksiev was shot at close range. This suggests that the attack could be related to internal conflicts, not actions of the Ukrainian special services.<\/p>\n
